The Alen (meaning 'River' in Old Castanorian) is the longest river in Cannor, originating at the Serpentspine Mountains, passing through Escann and most importantly the ancient city of Castonath before going through the Alenic Frontier (which was named after it) and exiting at the Dameshead. The Alenic people were named after the river by the Castanorians, who noted their hostility and resilience against any sort of Castanorian incursion into the lands and the Greatwoods forest that covers the middle portion of the river.
