Amstenur was a city built by Proto-Sarda at around 250 AA and was known for its huge walls which earned it the name "The Walled City of the Sarda".
In the late fourth century, Proto-Sarda civilization accelerated its decline and Amstenur became the prime destination for a refugee crisis. In a famous episode the refugees encamped outside Amstenur’s huge walls began chipping away at them with any tool they had, desperate to get in.
With the fall of the Proto-Sarda, Amstenur became the capital of a sovereign principality.
It was destroyed by the end of the sixth century with the Dolindhan conquest of Sarda after a two-decades-long siege led by Adbrabohvir forces and King Jeborad the Conqueror. Its walls were dismantled, and their stone was later used to build the Great Ynnic Dams during the height of the Ynnic Empire.
Amstenur at its apex controlled territory both on the western and eastern banks of the Ynn River. Amstenur's old territory on the eastern bank is in part ruled by the Lordship of Stenurynn, with Stenurynn's castle being a short ride west of Amstenur's ruins.
