Corin is the ascended goddess of war. She was originally an adventurer facing against the Greentide Vanguard who discovered she was an avatar of the disgraced, dead god of war Agrados through a conversation she claimed with Nerat. She brought the Greentide to the end in the Battle of Castonath when she and Korgus Dookanson killed each other within the great melee in the Imperial Quarter, with Corin sacrificing herself to block a killing blow meant for Lothane Bluetusk leaving her exposed to Korgus' off-hand strike.
After this event she was quickly elevated to godhood by her fervent supporters such as Dominic of Gallowspeak.
During the Age of Unraveling the head of the Regent Court, Castellos, was declared dead, and the religion underwent a schism on who would be the Castellos' rightful successor. The adherents of Corin would form the Corinite religion, claiming that the gods had become complacent and decadent in allowing injustice and evil to fester (such as the Greentide), and that Corin, by proxy of her role as a reincarnation of Agrados (Castellos' disgraced brother) would fare far better on the Regent Throne than Castellos' son Adean.
