Horashesh (meaning Far Lands in Kheteratan) is a region in West Sarhal with heavy monsoons and humid weather. It is dominated by the Horashesh Plains, a wide expanse of flat grasslands with numerous rivers flowing through it. The region also traditionally includes the Khawit Jungle and dryer, more mountainous lands in the north. Horashesh is flanked by the dense rainforests of Taneyas in the south, the Gnoll-dominated savannah of Gol in the north, the Mukis Mountains of Khetapera to the east, and the islands of Fahvanosy across the Seahorse Sea to the west. The region is predominantly occupied by Humans, although there are small populations of Gnolls, Halflings, Harpies, and Lizardfolk.

The natives of Horashesh have rarely been independent. Its lands have changed hands regularly between neighbouring foreign powers, including but not limited to the Empires of Fangaula, Kheterata, Karassk, Konolkhatep, and Khatalashya. Many historical scholars cite this for why, despite its seemingly ideal location for maritime trade and fertile lands, Horashesh remained an underdeveloped region for much of its history.

It has also seen migrations of people into its lands drive out those who lived there before. The Vurebindu migration of the 13th and 12th BA centuries forced the Vyzemby haflings to abandon their port cities and accompanying Ananoma forts to move back to Fahvanosy, while the Irsukubu migrations from Khetapera in the 8th and 9th century saw many Vurebindu driven to the coasts.
