Jaher ta'Diranhriá was the founder of the sun elven Phoenix Empire, an achievement that established him as one of the most important elves in known history. His conquest of Bulwar is responsible for continued sun elven dominance of the region to this day.
For the act of relieving the Bulwari peoples from the gnollish threat during the Sunrise War, Jaher was immortalized in the Bulwari Sun Cult as Surael reborn.

While the Moonsinger guided the Migrant Ship Lunatein to Cannor, Jaher took his people south to Bulwar. Over the next 21 years following his arrival, he conquered and consolidated the region and its diverse peoples under his rule. Thus, the Phoenix Empire was founded.
His legions did not cease their conquest at Bulwar, continuing their march south through the remainder of Sarhal and east through the majority of Haless. It is said that Jaher finally ceased breath upon reaching the sea at the far end of the world.
Upon the death of its founder, the empire briefly remained together although it's conquests halted under Jaher's heir Jaerel. He would auspiciously die of assassination 10 years later, and shortly after, its territories splintered. It would be eventually reunited under Jaher's daughter, Jexis, as the Jexisian Empire or the Second Phoenix Empire.
