The Petty Kingdom of Ourdia was a human monarchy located in Ourdia. It was founded around the Castanorian citadel of Bal Ouord following the creation of Daravan's Folly.

Owing to the complex and rugged terrain of Ourdia, the Ourdi developed a faster, more agile and cheaper cavalry unit. This unit would later become known as the Overmarch Hussars.

The Balgarsmiths were a religious order of smiths, craftsmen and builders originating from Castanor where they followed and learned from the great dwarf Balgar the Builder. Up until the Greentide they were the custodians of the Dragonforge, one of Balgar's Wonders, until they scuttled and destroyed the forge to prevent it from being used by Korgus Dookanson and his orcs.
