Suhan's Praxis is a system of beliefs originating in Rahen. It was established by Guru Suhan in the mid-fifteenth century. The Praxis rejects the core idea of High Philosophy - namely, the existence of several paths to wisdom which may be traversed through the emulation of the High Gods. Instead, the Praxis espouses the existence of only one path which incorporates the moral teachings of High Philosophy's most important schools while denouncing the political and social structures defended by those schools (such as the caste system and the patriarchal family structure).

History[]

Origin[]

Guru Suhan was a Eastern Harimari from the city of Jiushui, and practitioner of the Ascendant Soul school of the High Philosophy, instilled by his parents. At some point of his life, he started travelling through Haless for spiritual reasons, meeting practitioners of the different schools of the High Philosophy, and seeing their way of life. At some point, he started to meditate about the different schools, about their strengths and flaws, and while he admired the moral principles of the different schools, he saw flaws that arise from focusing on a single aspect. He reached the conclusion that the path of the High Gods requires focusing on all of the moral aspects instead of focusing on the perfection of one.

Arrival at Rahen[]

Guru Suhan arrived at Rayavashapal at some point of the XV century, with a small group of followers. He spent some time in the city, in the Hall of Endless Debate, where he achieved notoriety in a short amount of time, because of his exceptional eloquence,  unusual rhetorical style and knowledge of the different schools. His brief time in Rayavashapal sent shockwaves through the academic community. and shortly after his arrival, he abandoned the city and went to the countryside to teach his Praxis to the lower castes.
