Ux Limptooth was a goblin Field Chronicler hailing from Bayvek and known for her sojourns and travails in Gerudia, the Northern Pass, several segments of the Western Serpentspine Mountains, and the Forbidden Plains.
Early Life
The middle child of a family of ten, Ux and her family struggled in poverty in the crowded dockyard slums of early 18th century Bayvek. From a young age, Ux stood a head shorter and half as thin as other goblins, yet despite her stature, her raving perseverance and endless curiosity made her a conversation nightmare for any who would stop and entertain her inquiries. Before her tenth summer, she encountered a local Grombari Half Orc Liaison for Bayvek's Chronicler branch. Pestering the Chronicler while he waited for a ship to unload its valuable cargo, she impressed the Chronicler with her pointed and witty questions about a dozen subjects. By the end of the month, the Chroniclers admitted Ux as a Minor Chronicler and sponsored her education. Ux's father gladly approved of this development, but her mother, a devout Corinite, harbored suspicions that the Order of Chroniclers were a front for nefarious powers. A mediocre student for scholastic subjects like History and Common language, Ux excelled in oratory challenges such as debates, interviews, and lectures.
As a Chronicler
Upon completing her formalized training, she was inducted into the Order as a Chronicler. Though competent in clerical work, she jumped at the chance to scour the world beyond her home as a Field Chronicler. In 1735, she secured an assignment in Bjarnrik to record local Dalr Human histories. Within a year, her lengthy and thorough reports flooded her branch's archives. Noting her investigative talents, the Bayvek branch sponsored subsequent trips to the Kingdom of Grombar, the Gerudian Harpies, and even to the secluded lands beyond the Isleid of Digoveda. Her most popular tales were interviews with the congenial yet reclusive Forest Trolls within Bjarnrik's and Grombar's conquered territories.
