The War of the Three River-Banks (1795-1798), also known as the War of Ynnic Unification by the High Havorics, was fought between two of the largest powers of the Ynn during the peak of Decades of the Mountain. High Havoral with its allies (Brelar and the Freemarches) against the Dragon Dominion and the Western-Lands Coalition (Arganjuzorn, Ebenmas, Tellumtir, Pelodaire, Minata, Bosancovac, Amacimst, Vels Fadhecai and Chippengard).

Jahanon’s main ambition for this war was to unify the Ynn and to gain the title of emperor, without the Dragon Dominion to threaten his power. Since Ynnsmouth had embargoed the High Havorics, Jahanon believed this war could help stabilize the financial situation of the realm. The war involved almost every country in the Ynn with the exception of Tiru Móine and Balgabar, with Plumstead being involved in the southern campaigns.

March on Bosancovac[]

After Jahanon’s consolidation of the realm, in the summer of 1795 he felt prepared enough and decided it was time to challenge the Dragon Dominion for hegemony. Most nations that were not allied to High Havoral sided against it to contain Jahanon's expansion.

Bosancovac was the first target of the war due to the strategic position as well as the wealth of the city, and thus started the Siege of the Floating City. The town was attacked using many pontoon bridges with elite groups - such as the Paddleboard Knights - on the side of the defenders, while High Havoral sent Falah’s Hunters as their vanguard. The dragon Varlengeilt came to aid the defenders, but the city fell shortly before the Dominion's relief could arrive. The pontoon bridges were destroyed by sea serpents as Jahanon tried to escape with loot, leaving him and his army stranded in the city and besieged by the Dominion's reinforcements.

Jahanon’s Final Venture[]

While Bosancovac was being sieged again, the Western-Lands Coalition launched attacks on the dams in the south due to their role as key chokepoints on the border. Vels Bacar was successfully defended by the High Havorics, but when Chippengard invaded the previously-neutral Plumstead, the liberated Ynnics joined them to take control of Selocshana, and eventually Adbrabohvi. Meanwhile, High Havoral's allies - Brelar and the Freemarches - attacked the north to bait the coalition away from Bosancovac. The distraction worked, and with the help of a Reverian river fleet, Jahanon and his troops escaped.

Having come so close to his death, Jahanon realized wealth and power were not enough. He soon after left to conquer the city of Lukausta in order to find the secrets of the first wendigo and immortality that were rumored to rest in the tomb of Lukaus. Jahanon and his rectors eventually found and entered the tomb, but no one ever came out.

The Peace of New Havorton[]

In late 1796, with Jahanon presumed dead, his son Brandon síl Lethir ascended as king. His first decision was to broker peace with the Western-Lands Coalition, though his efforts were unsuccessful. The war continued with low intensity as both belligerents attempted to break through dam choke points without success. Brandon decided to march north to face the Dragon Dominion, facing them at the Battle of the Burning Flowers within Corinsfield’s territory, and meeting his demise there, being burned alive in the grasslands by the Dominion's incendiary weapons.

In 1797 King Brayden síl Lethir, brother of Brandon, was hastily crowned king, as the enemy army had continued south and was already besieging New Havorton. High Havoral was forced to surrender with very unfavorable terms; consequently, the Dragon Dominion's influence greatly expanded in the north and High Havoral was humiliated, having to renounce any ambitions to unify the Ynn.

In 1798, with the Dragon Dominion out of the war, High Havoral pressed the attack against the Adbrabohvi Dam, reannexing Nizamsto and Selocshana while forcing the rest of the Coalition into a peace, as the kingdom was in no shape to press its advantage. This marked the official end of the War the Three River-Banks, despite many historians considering the Peace of New Havorton as such.
