Kongren, the Void's Edge is an ancient precursor spellblade made of Black Damestear under the stewardship of the Jianxusi (the Temple of the Sword) in Xianjie. Due to its black damestear qualities, it is capable of nullifying magical items and spells in its presence - in this case, the user is able to cut through magical spells to dispel them. Though the blade is originally precursor made, the Oni would coat it in black damestear after taking it from a slain precursor which is what gives it its special qualities. As an experiment, it would be given to a Hill Yan warlord and then trade hands until it found its way to the Jianxusi.
