Magical education in Cannor is split into roughly two types: Magist (approved by the Magisterium) or Independent.
Magist Schools[]
Magist Schools were the first type of institution and were primarily found within the confines of the Empire of Anbennar and surrounds (due to the fact that magical education originated with the arrival of the elven peoples, who primarily settled within modern-day Anbennar itself).
The syllabus of these schools must be sent to and approved by the Magisterium and as such are seen as the most dependable type of learning. Due to the immense resources of the Magisterium, Magist education is often at the forefront of magical learning and exploration.
