The Order of the Iron Sceptre was an adventuring company led by magisters who went to fight in The Greentide, in defiance of the wishes of the Magisterium. Free from the restrictions on magic by the Magisterium, the order was infamous for their forays in the more unethical forms of magic, such as necromancy, which continued under its successor Esthíl until it's defeat by a coalition after conquering the Corintar in the 17th century.
